This is an opportunity to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing scale-up company.
atNorth is a leading Nordic data center services company that offers sustainable, cost effective and scalable high-performance computing across the Nordics . The company operates seven data centers in strategic locations across the Nordics, with two more to open during the year to come.
The Role
We are now looking for an experienced technical professional who thrives when leading others. As Director of Design, you will have a key role when leading the data center design department and managing and developing the team which currently consist of Design Managers and external consultants. You will be responsible for ensuring that the design process is robust and delivered in a timely manner to ensure project timeframes are achieved and in line with the delivery expectations.
You will be outermost responsible for designing data centers which includes the physical building/environment and infrastructure design of the site. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with business partners and suppliers to secure growth projects.
Together with your team you will work on achieving the site development growth strategy and continually seek opportunities for improvement for efficiencies to achieve benefits in time to execute, capex reduction, and operational excellence. As Director of Design, it is your responsibility to ensure technical project directives follow good practice guidelines and are fully risk assessed for operational suitability. You will also be responsible for financial planning for relevant parts of the business unit.
The role is placed in Kista, Stockholm. You will report to Chief Development Officer and be part of the extended management team.
Is this you?
To be successful in this position we are looking for someone with at least 15 years relevant experience within design and experience from working in the data center industry. You have at least a bachelor’s degree within mechanical engineering or similar.
In this role English is mandatory and a Nordic language is considered a plus.
