As a District Sales Leader / Country Manager Sweden you will be responsible for driving order intake and sales growth in Sweden by identifying and securing new business opportunities and developing our installed base. You will lead and manage a team of (Key) Account Manager to build strong customer relationships by seeking a deep understanding of their needs and addressing those with the Philips portfolio.
As the Country Manager Sweden, you oversee the running of the Swedish Business, reporting directly to the board of directors and managing staff to ensure adherence to the organization's mission and policies.
This role requires the ability to develop and increase the (sales) leadership level to instill an aspirational vision of scale, a presence to interface with senior client levels and articulate a “big picture” vision to delivering results for Philips and our customers.
Your responsibilities include the following:
Leadership & Customer relationship management:: Lead, manage and coach the Swedish sales team to create value for our customers and deliver on our growth targets. Drive customer engagement particularly with C-Suite.
Sales strategy development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to set and achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals. Conduct market research and analysis to identify key trends, opportunities, and competitive threats within the Swedish healthcare market.
Sales opportunity management: Drive sales excellence, funnel performance management and accurate forecasting through coaching of the sales team, collaboration with our business and service teams and effective opportunity management via Salesforce.com
Project management: Oversee projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, liaising with Nordic and Global management, maintaining financial controls, and representing the Swedish organization
Collaboration & stakeholder management: Collaborate with Health Care key stakeholders to support and drive Swedish sales strategy and initiatives. Collaborate with sales and other regional leadership, to develop sales collateral, tools, and resources that empower the sales team
Performance Tracking and Reporting: Generate regular reports (incl. sales forecasts) to Zone Leader and business Managers on front-line seller activities, sales performance, and progress towards targets.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Preferred master’s degree in business administration, medicine, engineering or other
10+ years relevant professional experience in health care industry, senior leadership experience, ideally across different countries
Proven track record of creating and executing account plans towards sales objectives and delivering ambitious commercial targets. In depth familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce)
In-depth experience of selling Healthcare products in the Swedish market in a clinical environment, and/or deep knowledge of hospital ecosystem.
Track record of ability to cultivate strong customer relationships with key decision makers (incl. C-suite) and MedTech industry.
Analytical mindset, with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive decision-making and optimize sales performance.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve ambitious targets who acts as a role-model for the Philips culture
Ability to build and nurture effective relationships within the matrix by developing strong cooperation with peers within the region, cross business, and cross function
Problem Solving skills. Able to find solutions todifficult or complex issues. As a LEAN Leader drives continuous improvement via applying LEAN methodology
Quality first and Patient Safety mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with senior-level stakeholders.
Fluent in English and Swedish is a must.
