We seek a dynamic and experienced Head of Product Design (UX/UI) to lead our design team in crafting exceptional user experiences for our B2B enterprise software products. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of strategic vision, hands-on design expertise, and leadership skills to drive innovation and excellence in our user interface and user experience design efforts.
This role requires a hands-on approach, you will be actively involved in design projects while providing strategic leadership to your team. The Head of Product Design will report to our Chief Product Officer, and the position can be based in Malmö, Stockholm or Amsterdam.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to significantly impact the user experience of our enterprise software products and contribute to the company's overall success.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
Develop and communicate a compelling vision for the UX/UI design team that is aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of UX/UI designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Define and implement best practices, processes, and methodologies to ensure high-quality design deliverables and efficient workflows.
UX/UI Design:
Take ownership of the end-to-end design process, from concept to execution, ensuring that designs are user-centered, intuitive, and visually appealing.
Collaborate closely with product managers, development teams, and other stakeholders to understand user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts and solutions effectively.
Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to validate design decisions and iterate based on feedback.
Project Management:
Define project scopes, timelines, and resource requirements and oversee the successful execution of design projects within budget and schedule constraints.
Prioritize competing initiatives and allocate resources effectively to ensure that critical deadlines are met, and deliverables are of the highest quality.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement proactive mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Cultivate strong relationships with key organizational stakeholders, including executives, product managers, marketers, and sales teams.
Act as a trusted advisor on all UX/UI design matters, providing strategic guidance and thought leadership to influence product strategy and roadmap decisions.
Present design proposals, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders clearly and compellingly, effectively articulating the value proposition of design investments.
Experience & Qualifications:
8+ years of proven track record of success in leading UX/UI design teams, preferably in a B2B enterprise software environment.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
Expertise in user-centered design principles, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.
Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar.
Deep understanding of the latest trends and emerging technologies in UX/UI design.
Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
